The story of Cyril Kamar (aka K.Maro) begins in the 1980s. From a childhood marked by the war in Lebanon - where he was born - to the 1990s, when his family moves to Montreal, Cyril Kamar grew up surrounded by music and particularly French artists.
It’s only after arriving to Canada that he discovers urban cultures, quickly developing a solid reputation in the Montreal underground scene. Between Montreal and NY, he surrounded himself with breakers, graphers, DJs, building brick by brick what would become his trademark: a subtle balance between business savoir-faire and creative audacity.
2024 marks a turning point in his career, with the release, under his own label Kpone Inc Music Group of La Good Life. Propelled by the instant hit* Femme Like You*, the album sells millions of copies around the world and tops the charts in more than 18 countries.
