PASTEUR PAPILLON UNVEILS THE ALBUM "URUBU, GOSPEL D'UN CHAROGNARD"

Pasteur Papillon unveils Urubu, gospel d'un charognard, an album where rock, blues, and americana intertwine in an atmosphere that’s at once gothic, romantic, and authentic.

It bears the singer’s unmistakable signature: a deep voice, a direct pen, and that blend of dark humor and weary tenderness that sets him apart. The album opens with “Ma maison”, a sincere love declaration to the one who kept him alive through his darkest moments.

“It might sound cheesy, but it’s not cheesy if it’s true,” says Pasteur Papillon, with a sly smile.

Later on, “Francis” pays tribute to a friend lost on the margins, “Urubu” observes the city with irony and fatalism, and “Profiter de la vue” speaks to the need to keep moving forward no matter what, faithful to that inner fire that has always driven him.

Produced by Pierre Fortin and Pierre-Alexandre Bouchard, mixed by Fortin and François Chauvette, and mastered by Richard Addison at Trillium Sound Mastering, Urubu, gospel d'un charognard stands as a truthful, lucid, and deeply human record.

Inspired by John Doe and Tom Waits, Urubu, gospel d'un charognard is an ode to those who watch the world crumble with stoicism, who know how to appreciate the fragile light amid the ruins, and who keep walking, creating, and singing.
