SARA DUFOUR UNVEILS HER FOURTH ALBUM'S TITLE TRACK, « DOLBEAU-MISTASSINI »
One month before the release of her fourth album, Sara Dufour unveils one final preview with the single “Dolbeau-Mistassini.” Looking back on the past few years, the folk-rock artist realized just how much what was once a dream has become her everyday reality. The song reflects on life on the road while keeping both feet firmly planted at home.
The chorus was directly inspired by a particularly intense run of shows in the fall of 2024. Montreal, Fermont, Mansonville, and Drummondville: these cities really did follow one another within just a few days on Sara and her team’s schedule. It was also during that whirlwind tour that a mantra took hold: I love my life. A phrase Sara and her musicians would spontaneously say in response to both the absurdity and the beauty of their day-to-day lives, which eventually found its way into the heart of the song.
Co-written and co-produced with Dany Placard, the song is both a celebration of dreams fulfilled and a tribute to Sara’s roots. Because despite the big stages, the travel, and the memories accumulated over the years, Sara Dufour never forgets where she comes from.
