Led by singer Laurence Giroux-Do, Le Couleur explores the theme of love in all its innocence and its complexity thanks to francophone lyrics juxtaposed to a musical plot skillfully mixing the best of disco and current indie music of bands such as Metronomy or Cut Copy.
After the success of their first EP “Voyage Love” and the single "Femme", which has 1.5 million views on youtube, the Montreal electro-pop trio Le Couleur is back with its charming album P.O.P. (for Pacific Ocean Park) in 2016 which affirms a little more unique style and proves their relevance in the current synth-pop scene. Mixed in Los Angeles by Eric Broucek (LCD Sound System, Hot Chip, Rocky, etc.) this last album offers a melodic and dynamic pop, a live and electronic music, fresh texts, with a vaporous sensuality reminiscent of the roaring years of Studio 54.
In 2017, Le Couleur shines at Les Inouis at Printemps de Bourges, at the Francos de Montréal, announcing their nomination on the Polaris Music Prize long list for the album P.O.P. and played at Osheaga, the Festival d’été de Québec, the Festival de la chanson de Tadoussac, Le Festif and FME.
