With a tone both casual and reflective, Alice Bro depicts those moments when solitude becomes a choice, almost a refuge. The simple, effective chorus forcefully repeats “Loner”, capturing the essence of that feeling of being alone, but in tune with oneself. It was in Jason Lang's studio that this piece took shape, in an atmosphere where creativity seemed to know no bounds. Accompanied by E.J. Lang, Alice Bro explored unusual sounds, seeking in the unusual the perfect inspiration to enrich her sound universe. Improbable objects such as wooden chests filled with screws found their way into the recording, adding a raw, authentic touch to the whole. This creative freedom, punctuated by laughter and moments of madness, allowed “Loner” to come to life in a spontaneous and unique way.
Alice Bro is no stranger to unusual creations. With her musical project, she blurs the boundaries between celebration and reflection, between joyful vulgarity and existential depth.
