D-TRACK WANDERS IN A « VILLE DÉSERTE » AND ANNOUNCES A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT ON FEBRUARY 10TH

Quebec rap veteran D-track is starting the year with a bang with "Ville déserte", the second single from an album to be released next month. He unveiled "Sans II" last December.

On a nostalgic rythm, the effluvia of a jazz band accompanies the well-crafted lines of the MC. The production signed David "Poppa Quest" Leclerc highlights the lyrics of a man who wanders through his memories in the streets of a city where he has been through everything.

Written during the pandemic, the text of "Ville déserte" recalls the curfews and the ghostly atmosphere that has prevailed in the suburbs in recent years. D-Track also highlights the loneliness and friendships that fade with time. He recalls experiences while walking through familiar places.

I'm walking through a deserted city
I feel like half the city's gone
It's Friday night and it's dead
I get inspired when the lights go out

A music video accompanies the track, directed once again by his sidekick David "Poppa Quest" Leclerc. The rapper evolves in deserted places, a simple but effective way to imitate the song.

With this new piece with an incisive and poignant tone, D-track offers a taste of his album which will be released on February 10th.

In the meantime, "Ville déserte" is available now on all listening platforms.
