LOÏC LAFRANCE IS ALREADY BACK WITH « 2034 (LE SOLEIL TOMBE SUR TOI) »
Quebec City, July 18, 2024 - Just three weeks ago, Loïc Lafrance unveiled the first track from their new project La peur est une fleur, an album due this September. The introductory song, less than two minutes long, had many on the edge of their seats, eager to hear what was to come. And here it is! The second single “2034 (le soleil tombe sur toi)” is available now.
“2034 (le soleil tombe sur toi)” gives a clear taste of the electric, supercharged sounds and infectious energy of Loïc Lafrance's forthcoming opus in September. It's a festive, nihilistic celebration of the end of the world, where eco-anxiety reigns. It can be hard to be optimistic about your future when you don't know if the world will still exist in 10 years' time.
With a grunge tone inspired by 2000s rock, the song remains very summery despite its pessimistic themes. Produced by Julien Mineau (Malajube), the single features a powerful, heartfelt performance by Loïc Lafrance. The sun may have fallen, but summer's not cancelled!
