Louis-Étienne Santais unveils Reflection I and announces the release date of his first solo piano album
Louis-Étienne Santais leaves nothing to chance. For his latest single, the composer presents the nostalgic “Reflection I”, the title song of his first solo piano album to be released on November 27th via Coyote Records. It is available for pre-order now.
For this piece, the Quebec City composer and producer offers a simple and catchy melody that, supported by sophisticated arrangements, plunges the listener into a most soothing state of mind. “Reflection I” is in fact a musical analogy to a long-standing friendship: its rhythm is rather slow, its roots are solid (imaged by the deep bass notes) and it represents two pieces that complement each other, here the harmonious blend of two piano motifs.
“This piece cannot be played by one musician alone, it needs extra hands to be executed properly. I composed it in 2016 with the help of my old friend Thomas Casault, the lead singer from my project ‘Fjord’.”
With “Reflection I”, four tracks from Louis-Étienne's new album are now available everywhere.

Already millions of streams
While he is just announcing the release of his album at the end of the month, Louis-Étienne Santais reaches, by the same token, two million streams on digital platforms.
Within the first week, the neo-classical composer made a remarkable ascent by carving out a place for himself on Spotify. His first piece "Augustines" quickly made its way onto the most influential instrumental playlists such as Peaceful Piano (6M followers), Instrumental Study (1.35M followers), Perfect Concentration (664,000 followers) and many others.
An unhoped-for success for the one who launched his project barely three months ago. Although, Louis-Étienne Santais will be presenting some of his compositions for the first time on November 20 at the Palais Montcalm, opening for Ghostly Kisses.
