SARA DUFOUR UNVEILS « ON VA-TU PRENDRE UNE MARCHE ? », A SONG TO ANNOUNCE A NEW ALBUM
Thousands of Quebecers who saw Sara Dufour live this summer, including on the Plains of Abraham at the Festival d'été, already know: her new album will be available on November 3rd! Today, the folk-rock singer unveils the album title with a new song of the same name: "On va-tu prendre une marche?", the single, is available now.
"On va-tu prendre une marche?" takes us into Sara Dufour's story of returning to where she grew up in Lac Saint-Jean. Through vibrant musical energy, the lyrics depict the artist's return to a place filled with memories, where she yearns to discover more of herself. The hope of love hangs in the air, as she thinks of that person who could eventually join her.
"For me, walking is like a long car ride: there's something rolling around in my head, files are being settled, ideas are coming..." - Sara Dufour
The fast-paced bass in the background symbolizes the constant rhythm of the march, while the rough-edged electric guitar adds a touch of authenticity and intensity to the melody. With her bewitching voice and meticulous production, Sara Dufour takes us on a journey where aspirations to freedom and love blend harmoniously.
Written, composed and recorded in Dolbeau-Mistassini alongside her musical sidekick Dany Placard, "On va-tu prendre une marche?" fully embodies the themes of the new album of the same name, 12 new songs to be released on November 3.
