LOÏC LAFRANCE PRESENTS « DANS MON SANG », THE LAST SINGLE BEFORE THE ALBUM

The last track before the album, Loïc Lafrance's “Dans mon sang” shows the breadth of moods to be found on his forthcoming release. Inspired by 50s Shlock Rock à la Paul Anka, this song stands out for its calmer atmosphere, allowing each phrase to breathe. This unique single contrasts with the energetic, danceable style for which the artist has become renowned.

Using distinctive instruments such as pedal steel and theremin, Lafrance creates slippery, dissonant sounds, reminiscent of flowing blood. This personal, poignant and theatrical composition explores blood-love themes, weaving a fascinating parallel between love and horror. The song evolves gradually, beginning as a classic romance our grandmothers might have listened to, before transforming into a modern gore epic.

Produced once again by Julien Mineau (Malajube), “Dans mon sang” is the only love song on the album, and it stands out for its ability to combine usually contradictory elements: love can be beautiful, but also terrifying.
