Laurence Castera unveils Les hauts lieux, his second solo album

Laurence Castera's second album Les hauts lieux, was released on April 12th. This second chapter in the singer-songwriter's career was written on the road and is more rhythmic than the previous one and closer to the influences and sounds that the singer cherishes.

It is a desire for proximity, rock and an organic sound that he and his musicians wanted to transmit with this record recorded entirely live in the studio. Well surrounded by director Simon Pedneault (Louis-Jean Cormier, Gabrielle Shonk, Lou-Adriane Cassidy) on guitar, P-E Beaudoin on drums and Cédric Martel on bass (the rhythm section that works with Hubert Lenoir among others), Castera reveals the hazards of his last two years of life. It is impossible not to get chills when listening to him take a look at his questioning, testify to the challenges of love on the road and open up to his need to ask himself to breathe better.

"Les hauts lieux" is 11 pieces with sober and effective arrangements that give way to the pure emotions and honesty of an authentic artist.
