LOÏC LAFRANCE UNVEILS « LA PEUR EST UNE FLEUR » AND ANNOUNCES AN ALBUM
2 days after a remarkable performance in the Francouvertes final, Loïc Lafrance entered the studio last May with chaotic energy and a brain teeming with ideas. Today, they present the eponymous track from their new album La peur est une fleur, a title that signals a grunge turn for the young singer-songwriter's project.
The song "La peur est une fleur" is a cynical take on anxiety and its visceral nature, using the analogy of flowers. It introduces the theme of fear, which will be central to the album of the same name, due on September 13.
Accompanied by a danceable sound that combines gospel and grunge, Loïc's performance is sincerely theatrical. The track, directed by Julien Mineau (Malajube), sets the scene for a rock epic that promises to make you want to push yourself into the middle of a mosh pit!
The song is supported by a bright and colorful music video, created in collaboration with Nataël Vallières. It features Loïc in various locations around Quebec City, including the roof of his own apartment! Naturally, flowers and nature are in the spotlight.
